Unzip them into your ZaraRadio Time Directory
This is Normally C:\Program Files\ZaraSoft\ZaraRadio\Time

Tom's ZaraRadio Time Announcements Zip File

Now test the time announcement function
1. Stop or pause your music
2. Pull down the Jingles Menu
3. Click on "Time announcement"
If you did everything right, you should hear the time that is shown on your computer clock.

If you are new to ZaraRadio, do this next:
Click on the clock face above the right edge of the "Upcoming Events" window.
Click The "New" button. Another window will open.
Check "Play every hour"
Check "Time announcement"
Under "Start date and time" set the minutes and seconds when you want the time to play each hour. Ignore the hour!
For example xx:00:00 will play the time announcement every hour as soon as the music ends after the top of the hour.
Let everything else default and click "OK"
Click "OK" on the remaining window.
Now you will have the time announced every hour.

I do the same thing again for xx:15:00, xx:30:00 and xx:45:00, so I have time announcements 4 times an hour.

These are all of Tom's Adrovgda Commercials.
(Do an internet search for "adrovdga". A lot of people seem to like these commercials.)
Right click and "Save Target As" to your hard drive.
Unzip them into an "Adrovgda Commercials" Directory (Not in your Music Directory)

(You to want to control when they play, not have them shuffled in with your music)

Tom's Adrovgda Commercials Zip File

Try this:
Click on the clock face above the right edge of the "Upcoming Events" window.
Click The "New" button. Another window will open.
Check "Play every hour"
Check "Random track"
A small window right below will light up. Click the "..." button.
Find and highlight the directory where you unzipped the Adrovdga commercials.
Under "Start date and time" set the minutes and seconds when you want the commercial to play each hour. Ignore the hour!
For example xx:14:30 will play a commercial every hour about just before the quarter hour.
Let everything else default and click "OK"
Click "OK" on the remaining window.
You will now have a commercial followed by the time at about the quarter hour.

I do the same thing again for xx:29:30 and xx:44:30, so I have a commercial followed by the time 3 times an hour.

I have a directory of unique instrumentals (in my case Honk Tonk Piano).
I do the same as above but for xx:48:15 so at approximately the top of the hour I have an instrumental followed by the time.

Once you have gone to all this trouble, click the clock face once more.
Click the "Save" button. Give your events a name. I use "Commercials and Time"
Save it and close the windows. Now if you mess up you can get your events back.
Don't forget to save again after each successful change to your events.
